Write your question here...I have a rain jacket but I'm looking for one strictly for backpacking and hiking. Live in Oregon so it will see a lot of rain and I am a little rough on my gear. I take good care of it but just a little rough. That being said is the Typhoon my best choice? I saw one review that said the paclite is not designed for carrying your pack. Is this a good choice or is there a better jacket out there for my needs?

I have this jacket and i use it for trekkings or climbing (it´s ideal for that!), because it has all conditions of a good water proof jacket but it´s light!! I think it´s design for that kind of activities when the weight manners. If I were you I´ll go with Pro Shell or performance shell gore tex for more resistance.
