It is similar... yet different. Differences are in the construction... banana-tech utilizes a radial rocker between your bindings that than extends to flat underneath you feet before your nose and tail kicks. Burton's V-rocker Breaks once between your bindings then extending flat underneath your bindings (similar to Banana) but Burton's than breaks again, upward rocking after the channel and before your nose and tail kicks. (see the picture) No matter which rocker you choose make sure that it has an edge technology so it doesn't feel all loosey goosey ... Magna traction on lib and Pressure distribution edges (or frostbite) on Burton are designed for the same purpose... Aggressive EDGE hold!

Yes, very similar design. Burton's website has videos and what not that describe the v-rocker in great detail.
