If you mean from rope to figure eight than yes, it will work, but it isn't the best. I would recommend the larger BD Rocklock for this purpose instead. Don't try repelling from webbing. http://www.backcountry.com/black-diamond-rocklock-carabiner

im not exactly sure what your asking but if you need a locking biner this will work. be careful and make sure you know what your doing...
