I've never worn them in the rain, but in a reasonable dump they performed like a charm. They aren't fully waterproof, but most ski days you don't want fully waterproof. I don't know how they'd hold up to a heavy, wet storm -- I still wear my waterproofs for that.

these are not designed for waterproofness, they are a soft shell made with wool + nylon instead of polyester + nylon. Value with these lies mainly in breathability, also greater mobility and quieter...
