Does the outer shell have the feel of a windbreaker fabric or is it softer?

the face fabric is much softer (and quiet) compared to windbreaker material. it's not totally wind resistant, but will block about half the wind while still breathing and wicking quite well. this pullover is really versatile and comfortable.
