It's good if you are looking for an insulated waterproof shell, but it really depends on what you are going to be using it for. If it is just for pure warmth, the 100 gram insulation package in jacket is not going to compare to something like a 700 fill down jacket (which I would prefer as an around town type of piece). 100 gram is fine if you are will to layer under it on really cold days, and the climate will really determine whether you need that waterproof shell material or not. Where I am in the mountains, it is a dry snow, so the waterproof shell isn't as important to me - my down jacket will keep me warm, and I don't have to worry about it getting too wet in the winter.
