i am 5.6 and 125 lbs, i am purchasing this jacket and was thinking about a large. i want a very baggy fit. is this the right fit?

The small would be pretty baggy on you, if you wanted a super baggy fit go with the medium. I think the large just might look ridiculous, very close to your knees would be my guess. Backcountry has amazing customer service, if I was you I would order the medium, then go from there if it's not the desired fit.
