I've tried using this on a lightweight rain jacket that has an outer nylon layer and an inner waterproof/breathable layer (not Gore-tex). I followed the directions and washed the jacket in tek wash, and then applied the spray as directed. I tested it, and water was NOT beading up on the jacket, so I tried applying it without washing first. But once again, water is still not beading up, just soaking into the outer nylon layer. Everyone has such great things to say about this stuff, I can't help but thinking I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?
