Hi Garth, I've got a Black Diamond Icon. I first bought it for work, but I used it one night on my bicycle and I feel in love with it right away. I modded it just a bit. Basically the light unit was hot glued to the front of my helmet and the battery pack was attached with double sided tape and one of the original straps to the rear of my helmet. This thing works like a charm. I use the 3W LED on dark roads or in rainy weather. On city street I use the 4 LED flasher. On either the 3W or quad LEDs road markings and street signs come alive.

It totally depends on the helmet Garth, it's got a battery pack in the back that may get in the way, but depending on the helmet design it may work. I say give it a try & return it if you don't like because you would love it on night rides...it's like having a car headlight with you & I'm not joking dude! :)
