See Ocean Kayak, they have already worked it out on one configuration, a brilliant design. I would prefer to see a no skeg substitute panel if not using the motor, and the solar panel idea is excellent. That said, the Ocean Kayak model has precious few other fishing related features integrated on the demo I saw. Also, a somewhat larger boat with better weight handling with the elec. motor and solar features would be a super feature for anyone wanting to do distance kayaking with some rest pause on the work loads to the shoulders. Passenger weight will be a significant efficiency factor in design as well. The Tarpon 16 would be a good platform, actually better in my experience in glide than a Tarpon 14 and I own 3 of the 16s and 2 of the 14s for friends to use as well so we get a lot of flat water experience without waves to estimate glide efficiency I did not see a positive seal on the battery install feature for the Ocean Kayak, this as a safety meaure should capsize occur would be a good feature with seal tight lightweight absorption material so when the hatch was removed the material could be replaced or neutralized.
