the BC shift, best value. this may not bother you but the north face is owned by vanity fair... they sold out. Arcteryx is sweet if you have the money but many of their softshells are made with the same material polartec powersheild, so it just depends on if you want to buy a brand or function...

It all depends on what you are using it for. For aerobic activities go with the Gamma LT. For Every day use and a more all around jacket go with the Shift. This is all based on the breathability of each type of fabric. Hope this helps.
