I was wondering how warm this jacket really is. I'm moving to New York City in the fall and I'm trying to find a jacket that isn't too bulky but is warm enough for winters up north.

I just wore this jacket as a layering piece under my ski coat at the mountain... 20 degrees with a wind of 30mph... was toasty. it would be warm enough by itself around town down to around 35ish, I'd say... otherwise, use as a base layer under a warmer coat
