Hi, can the hip belt be easily folded up (prefer stay attached, not removed)? My next trip involves a lot of plane flights. Just wonder if I can fold the hip belt up and press in tight to fit into the overhead of a small size commuter plane? Aka, is the hip belt "soft" or "hard"?

Thanks,
-Steve

I went over to Osprey's website and watched the demo video. The hip belt is very light and very flexible. Question answered. -Steve
