Would this be big enough to use for a school backpack? It would need to be able to hold a binder/textbook or two as well as assorted other small necessities.

I tried to put a small binder in my pack and it did fit, but it's tight. This pack is made shorter and more narrow to contour to a women's body. It's a great pack for day hiking, but I wouldn't recommend it for carrying binders and large books.
