I am 5'8" and 150 typically ride a 153 - should I really go down to a 148 on this? as they say you can go down 5cm.

i sized down about 5 cm on a www 2008 and it still feels good. it's true about the k2's riding long. look at the effective edge and compare it to other boards' effective edges.

I'm 6'0 175 and considering the 148. I ride a 156 all mtn board and I want serious jib. Like Taylor said, it's all about how you want it to operate. If I was your size I'd be jumping at the 145, so I don't think the 148 is any stretch of the imagination.

It'll be on the smaller side of your spectrum, but it's not like the board just won't work for you. If anything, it may take a bit of getting used to. I've ridden and tested boards within 7-9cm difference, and it just comes down to how you like a stick to operate.
