The military black looks like it has a rubber band as opposed to the leather which mine has. Is this correct?
Can I buy the Rubber band to replace my leather band?

You can, I just ordered two of them from suunto.com. Everyone says they break just as often as the leather so I went ahead and got 2. It is pretty lame a $350.00 watch has to have the band replaced once a year.
