for a weekend it depends but i would aim between 50-65 liters.

Really depends on your style of camping and the gear you're carrying. I am packed for a 3 day trip to rocky mountain national park and I was able to fit everything (barely) in my 50 liter Atmos pack. I am a minimalist and my pack is weighing in at 29 pounds including food and water. For winter camping I have a larger Naos 70. This gives more room for layers and a bigger sleeping bag.
