I'd say no, not good for cycling. You'll want something with padding to protect all your soft tissues in the saddle.

I'd imagine that you've either gotten or given up on these shorts by now, but as for cycling, it depends on your preference. There's absolutely no padding in the er... important areas... but I've never come across running shorts that do. They've got a real nice split up the side and are super light, but I'd want some padding if I were going to be doing any riding in these.
