Water resistant. The definition of "waterproof" is material that withstands 25 psi of water pressure- that's a lot of pressure. That said, this water resistant jacket with Durable Water Resistant (DWR) coating will protect you in any normal rainy conditions. Keep in mind that the seams aren't sealed, so water may seep in that way.Agreed with the above: Definitely not a rain-jacket. If it is a light rain you will be warm and dry. A heavier rain will push right through the seams and needle holes on the logo, leaving you pretty wet inside. The wind protection is solid though, whether you are wet or dry. And it dries really fast too.
