Helen, While it will protect the bottom of your tent better than not having anything, footprints are cut specifically to the shape of a particular tent, and having one that isn't the right shape or size can lead to trouble (like water pooling under the tent). The easiest option is probably to make your own footprint. Get a piece of whatever you want to use for a footprint (a tarp works but is heavy. painters plastic is waaay lighter and works really well), set up your tent on top of it, trace the outline of the tent, and then cut inside that line (so that none of the footprint sticks out from the edge of the tent. Voila, instant tent footprint.
