Anyone ever use this bag? How does it compare to a "hard" case, ie; will it protect your $5000 mtn. bike on a trans atlantic flight?

Dear SusieSki, did you ever get an answer to your question? I have the same question. Did you buy the Dakine Bike Bag? If so, how did it work for you? Thanks.I love soft cases! I've traveled around the world multiple times with my bike and never had an issue! Here's my theory: Hard cases are too easy to stack. A hard case will end up at the bottom of the pile every time. A soft case is a bit obtuse and doesn't lend itself to neatly stacking luggage on top of it. Even a hard case won't protect your bike against an elephant sitting on it.Besides that, soft cases stuff into the trunk of tiny European cars....try doing that with a hard case. KC
