I'm looking to buy a day pack but I'm not sure which one would be better for hikes, the Talon 22 or the Talon 11? I usually bring water, a lunch, camera, extra jacket, mp3, suntan lotion, sunglasses, hat and sometimes trekking poles. Would the Talon 11 fit all this with the poles strapped outside? I'm 5'3". Thanks.

I would go with the 22. Fitting all the stuff you listed in the 11 would be a stretch. With the 22, you should be able to fit all that stuff and if you want to bring an extra layer or two, you'd have room for that too. It will be all in all a more flexible pack.

I don't have the 11, but if you are talking about an SLR and plan to take a lens or two a long in their own padded cases, then the 22 is the better choice, in case it rains you can stick the body in there too. Hope that helps.
