Hi, we bought a new tent and when we set it up for a trial, it was not very waterproof. So my question is: How waterproof is it and if there is a problem what are the product policies?

The rain fly (the piece of fabric that goes over top of the tent- yellow in this case), needs to cover the entire tent for it keep you dry in the rain. Rain rarely falls straight down, so tents with rain fly's like this one that only cover the top of the tent are about as useful as an umbrella. An umbrella keeps your head dry, but your feet are going to be wet.
