What's all the extra stuff that comes with the tent?
Why 12 stakes? Don't you only need 6?
What's the long cord for?
What's the plastic with 3 holes? There are 4. I think it's for tensioning the cord?
What's the grommet with elstic loop for/ There are 2.

The elastic loops, i think, are for guying out the two far ends of the fly. This is the only part of the fly that might make contact with the canopy, so I always guy it out so my feet won't get wet. The elastic attaches to the stake, and the guy line strings through the gromit. Since I almost always guy it out there, I figure the elastic will limit wear on the guy tab.

extra stakes for guying out your tent. same with the cord. and the plastic is for tensioning the cord when guying out the tent. The gromment i dont know for sure perhaps for tying up the doors to keep them open?
