It won't leak if you pay attention to keep the mouthpiece closed when you run, otherwise, it will. Make sure that you change from one hand to another regularly because it can block asymatrically the natural motion of your shoulders and unbalance your posture. This is easy to do on the go when you're used to it

No problems with leaks. Great bottle. I think it is pricey but nonetheless love the way it fits in hand.
