I do a lot of camping on a river and tend to do a little hiking, i want to know if these shoes a going to handle the tasks, i don't have a lot of cash so is it worth spending the money to get these? thanks for any input, stories, examples, anything that will help me...

Matt, yes these are ideal for any water based trekking, but the only issue is hiking long distances or carrying heavy loads in your pack. If you are doing either of those things then these might be great transition shoes, but you will definitely want some designated hiking shoes for heavier loads and long ascents. Otherwise no pack or light pack and just wandering around near camp, you have found yourself a great shoe
