How's the wind protection?
I'm debating between this and the stiffer-feeling Xenon jacket (which is a Gore-Tex Performance instead of Paclite).
I absolutely want complete wind protection and waterproofness. Durability isn't strictly necessary, and I would slightly prefer more packability instead of more durability.
So, the main question is: would the Xenon give me any additional wind protection over the Typhoon?

Both Jackets are made utilizing the Paclite Laminate from GoreTex. The Xenon is categorized as a 'Performance Shell' by GoreTex due to the fact that it has a heavier face fabric than the Typhoon Jacket. This heavier face fabric would dictate that the Typhoon might provide more packability and the Xenon would provide more durability. As Andrew says, both jackets are completely wind and waterproof. Hope this helps!
