HI, I DO A LOT OF NIGHT FISHING IN HAWAII FROM HIGH ROCKY AREAS , LOT OF CRACKS , HOLES. MY FOOTING IS MY BIG;EST CONCERN WOULD THE BRUNTON L3 3-WATT HEAD LAMP BE WHAT I NEED OR DO I NEED SOMETHING STRONGER. You can't go wrong with this light. It has an intense 3 watt LED capable of 200 ft. + illumination, backup power source beyond the 200 hrs., & dimmer switch in case you don't need maximum light.http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=396
