was wondering, if ash from a cigarette fell onto the jacket would it put a hole in it, given the material is made out of seems a bit fragile.

Yeah, the pertex quantum fabric would probably get little scorch marks and holes on/ in it. If you were really worried about it you could always get some ripstop patch tape to cover holes.

yea its not going to do real well i dont think every time it would but there is the possibility for sure. i would use a differnt jacket or just not smoke...
