My girlfriend just got one of these packs. How do you attach ice axes to the pack? I guess I am used to the loop I push the axe through then rotate the axe upside down and secure with a strap near the top. This pack clearly works differently.

You attach the ice tool by releasing the fastech buckle on the bottom front side of the pack. Slide the pick into the sheath and secure the buckle behind the head. The elastic on the front center of the pack holds the body/ handle of the ice tool.
