I recommend at Peak Oyl LIght for hammock sleeping , it packs small, reduces heat loss from breezes underneath, and cradles you in the middle.

Yes, I have tried using these in my hammock in an effort to add insulation, hoping to be able to keep sleeping in my hammock during colder seasons. Honestly I felt that adding the pad took away from the hammocks comfort so much that I can't sleep when using the pad. Sad to say, no year round hammock for me.
