I'm wondering if this pot is big enough to prepare simple meals ie.
Knorrs, Lipton sides, etc or is is only good for freezer bag cooking. Also, is it the same size as the BC 700ml

It can fit 1 pasta sides or 2 rice sides. Basically, if it calls for 1 1/2 cups of water per package, you can do 2 packages. If it wants 2 cups of water per package, you can do 1 at a time.
