Compared to the Columbia Waypoint II shell (http://www.backcountry.com/store/COL1771/Columbia-Waypoint-II-Shell-Mens.html), which of the two would people recommend for hiking, camping, and overall use?

The Waypoint would be better for year round use, especially if you have to deal with a winter season. Where as this one will be more of a 3 season jacket better for spring, summer and fall.
