Many people run ultras in these shoes. I am doing a 12 hour next weekend. Your body will adapt to whichever shoe you choose no matter how heavy they are. I always buy based on feel and fit and these are my #2 shoe.

Salomon's website lists them at 390 grams, which is 13.75 ounces (per shoe). Plenty light to take on a 3-4 mile run.
