These knee pads don't restrict movement at all. If you tighten the bottom strap just enough and leave the top strap just tight enough to hold them in place, after your first run you won't even notice they are there. They also keep your knees nice and warm and limber.

I haven't noticed that they are restrictive. I prefer not to tour in them, but put them on for the descent.

Nope--only the way you don't want to bend them (ie, backwards). I put them on first thing in the morning and don't take them off until I get home. The best, most comfortable, and did I say best knee pad I've ever worn.

They restrict your kneecap from shattering through the back of your leg. Otherwise no.

No not at ALL. I often forget that I have them on and wear them to the bar after skiing.
