This is a pretty deep pocket, I use it to stuff the entire jacket into itself for traveling but it could also be used for MP3 player. The primloft will keep your music player dry in most ski conditions. One of my favorite jackets in the line, this years piece is improved, it has a really silky and light feel to it.

Yes but I would not trust it to keep water off of the MP3 player. I would put the mp3 player in some type of water protection thing and then put it in the pocket.
