I have the GPS pod, and I want to find my actual speed, how do I do this? currently the watch will tell me how long it will take me to run one mile, but I can't work out my miles per hour.

Sounds like you need to go into the Suunto t3c menu and change the speed reading to mph from mi. This is in the general settings menu
