so I've been snowboarding for years and I want to get into this sport. I weigh about 165 pounds. I live in a great area for this sport where there are lots of rolling fields with drifts. Is this a good kite for me?

I think a 7 meter would probably be a better starter - then once you get things down, I would probably add a 12 meter- that is the size that you will use most of the time. I also highly recommend taking a lesson - it is crazy scary to watch people try to teach themselves, or learn from another beginner...
