My feet get very hot even in cool conditions. How would these boots work out? Also, I need a wide boot. I know that Vasque makes a wide version of this boot-- Does backcountry carry it?

It is also a GoreTex boot. GoreTex tends to be a very hot material, and I would wearing a polypropylene sock liner to wick moisture away, but just accept hot feet.

I get hot feet too.. they work well, just pay attention to the socks you buy for it, steer away from "hot" material.

This boot works well for hot feet (as I get hot feet quickly as well) However, it is a leather boot, and it will take some time for it to get broken in and circulate well. I would suggest the smartwool PHD socks for a good heat management sock.
