What makes the Perception Tribute 12.0 a woman's kayak? Is it simply the smaller cockpit dimensions?

Yes - the slightly smaller overall size, including the cockpit. It also comes in a few softer colors more geared toward women (although it still comes in a nice red). If you're a more slender or shorter man - or just like a slightly more confined (and more controllable) cockpit, this would do nicely.
