I'm going on an 80-miler this summer in NM; does this jacket hold up good during backpacking and thunderstorms? Also, I'm 6'3" 205lbs. Size? Thanks!

Taylor is right that it doesn't have the highest of WP or Breathable ratings. But in NM (high desert) you shouldn't be running into any super colossal multi day rain storms. This jacket is more than enough to keep you dry during an afternoon T-storm and if you get hot, just open the vents and let some air in! The other bonus is that it's not going to break your bank at $66. I'm about your size and I wear an XL. It has plenty of room under it to layer if need be.

this jacket will be nice and light for runs but it may not be enough water protection. it only has 5k waterproofing and 5k breathability, so that wont do much to keep you dry and it wont breath that well either. i would get something that has more protection and a higher breathability rating to let the heat escape easier.
