What makes this jacket worth its price? You could buy 4-5 PreCips for the same price. I have an Arc'teryx Beta AR, which is likewise very expensive, but some how it seems like a different kind of jacket.

breathability. The precip does not breath very well. Obviously the fit and finish on a Norrona or Arcteryx is the best in the industry. If you don't mind the inside of your jacket feeling like a swamp and the jacket needing to be replaced every year then the precip would be the way to go.
