Is the lid opening large enought to stick your hand in to clean the inside? Let's assume at 5'-9", I have a medium-sized hand.

Yes, you can get your hand inside to clean or turn it inside out if you need to.

My hand fits, though tight. Even if you don't stick your hand in, the opening is large enough that it's still way easier to clean than other models.
