The point of 4 season tents is that they can withstand the heavy snowfall and winds often associated with winter and alpine conditions. It has very little to do with comfort and more to do with safety. So this tent can be used in all four seasons, however in summer it will be miserable due to it's lack of breathability. All single wall tents will suffer this issue (they make up for it by being lighter).

I disagree with Big Jim's assesment. If the tent is miserable in the summer, it should be advertised as ECWS. 4 Season tents are heavier, and it would be nice to own 2 quality tents, one 3 season and one 4 season. It's advetised as 4 season, meaning it should be comfortable or have enough ventilation to use even in late spring, summer, early fall temps. If it's actually too hot for anything but extreme cold weather service, I'd stay away from this one. Check out REI's 4 Season tents. I used one for 3 years, but lost it during a move. Enough ventilation to use in summer, great for cold weather.

This tent really is meant for cold weather. It is awesome in snowy conditions. If your going to camp in worm weather leave this tent an home and grab a three season
