does this essence sweater have the spf sun protection and if so is it coated with it or does the fabric have the spf built in?

it does not specify if it is coated or not. Most items though that do have SPF do need to have it refreshed with SPF wash.

I use SPF wash on items of mine that do not have it already. Most SPF wash or treatment does wash out after so many washes, kind of like DWR.

But again, I am not positive on how they SPF proofed this piece.
