I am looking for a 2000 or so cubic inch capacity day pack. I plan on doing some day hiking in Alaska this summer. Whatcha recommend?

Look for something with back ventilation, I have a similar NF pack and my back gets sweaty. Something similar to this (or bigger) would be a better investment. http://www.backcountry.com/store/DTR0040/Deuter-Futura-32-Backpack-1950cu-in.html
