How would the red. stiff bindings compare to the stiffness of bishop bombers of hammerhead in their stiffest setting. im looking for a very stiff binding thats not too heavy for touring (the bishops are kinda heavy for touring) thanks

The Rid Stiff reminds me of the Hammerhead on pos.3. That said, Hammerhead now has a touring binding that seems like it would suit your needs. http://twentytwodesigns.com/axl/

Hammerheads on the 5th setting provide more resistance than the Rid-Stiff cartridges, but touring on Hammerheads can be a bit of a pain, as the pin that is used to change the resistance of the binding (from setting 5 to setting 1 in your case) gets iced up while skinning, and can be hard to switch back at the top of the hill... Ease of use of the O1s is a huge factor for me personally when considering a touring binding, although I use the Hammerheads in-bounds for the extra control and power...
