Love the Streaks, very interested in these, but I've been reading that they run larger (a problem which made the Wildwoods nearly useless for me)...are these, in fit, simply a slightly narrower Streak or are there any other sizing differences?

I wore a 8.5 in previous Montrail models (Hardrock and Continental Divide) and an 8.5 in these fit the same.

I have worn the same size in Montrails for 13 years (11.5) and the Masochist fits perfect in an 11.5.

This shoe is built on the same last as the Streak. It is called the VEL last. It fits differently than the Streak in that it has a more snug upper all the way around. Not necessarily narrower... just more form fitting. Some would say it is a better fit but that just depends on your foot. Also, the Mountain Masochist is not as soft as the Streak, has a little more protection, and a small medial fatigue post. Hope this helps!
