i just bought a rossignol zena snowboard with the bottom of the base with the white graphics. Are you suppose to see the locations of where they drilled the holes for the bindings? Everything is flush and smooth with the board, but I see these darker holes with a number "5.8". Is this normal and part of the graphics for the zena 2009 board?

Yes. The Rossignol logo on the bottom of the board is showing the actual wood core of the board and that is going to show the inserts as well. It will not effect how the board rides whatsoever. It is just made to cosmetically look like that.
