I just got back from doing the Haute Route on these bindings and they were awesome. The free pivot touring mode was a godsend - especially while executing kick turns on really steep climbs like the Col du Chardonnet and Col du Mont Brule. They locked down with a tap of the ski pole for descents - the best tele bindings I've ever used

Hey Hans. Personally, I wouldn't use this binding for super-aggressive telemark skiing. I've had these bindings rip out of my skis (two different skis) twice this season, and the BD reps told me that it was a combination of my size (6'2" 180 lbs), my boots (Scarpa T-Races), and my cartridges (Rid-stiff), as well as my skiing style (aggressive). Having an equipment failure like that on a really technical run could be catastrophic. I'd recommend going for the 22 Designs Hammerhead, with a 6 screw mount. I've never heard of those failing the way BD O1s do. Scroll down in the reviews and you'll see more people that had the same problem i did, it's fairly well known... also check out this link for an in-depth discussion on the issue... http://www.telemarktalk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=43098&start=0&sid=79d73ec670bf1f23593e270e4391f17d
